hi! ¡hola!

It’s been a couple of years since I wanted a website so I could organise and share my photographs, so I could tell people I’m available to work on a project together or just so I could present my work to you, a little bit more professionally… And after a couple of weeks of hard work… well, here it is!

Even though I do share most of my images on social media, there are still some I don’t. Some are little bit more personal, a little bit a less pretty, a little bit awkward… so I kept them for myself. I had spent years and years worrying about what people think about me (a lot of us do!), what people think about my photography, about the way I play the drums… But as a New Year goal, I’ve decided to (little by little) care less and express myself with honesty, show a little bit more in depth the real me. As teacher (I taught for 13 years) and as a woman who grew up in a very conservative society, I felt I was forced to hide some things from most people… just because it would have been misinterpreted in a certain way… but in a lot of cases, I didn’t even share the same philosophy of life, or spirituality, so I was sure I was going to be judged. In reality, I’m still somebody who wants to make this world a little bit better, at least by reaching out people around me and people who is willing to listen. I love and respect nature, and I am grateful for that, and through my photos and my words, I hope to share a little bit of that wisdom or gratitude or whatever you want to call it, that has help me to be happier.

So, I’ll be sharing a little bit of information and some stories about my photos and about my experience in Australia. As I have always tell people…. living here feels like a parallel universe after growing up in Guatemala City… which I still miss occasionally.
